Senior Program
A program that uses LASER acupuncture and therapeutic exercises to help improve your senior dog’s pain, mobility, and quality of life. It is targeted towards dogs that have arthritis/DJD, stiffness, and/or soreness from aging.
-
Pain Management
Modalities such as LASER and TENS can help with pain management. LASER therapy is a specific form of light-based therapeutic intervention that releases endorphins to decrease pain, increases blood flow, stimulate healing, reduce inflammation and muscle spasms. TENS uses electrical stimulations to reduce the pain signals going to the brain.
-
CCL Conservative Treatment
A program for dogs who have a cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) tear, and are not eligible for surgery. Within this treatment, goals are to increase range of motion, muscle control, proprioception, and loading on the affected leg. Rehab will consist of strength training, management of pain and swelling, and exercises to help normalize gait.
-
CCL Repair (Post-op)
Rehab after a cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) repair will involve management of pain and inflammation using LASER, ultrasound and/or muscle stimulation. Gentle range of motion and weight bearing exercises will be taught to do at home. Then as the dog progresses strengthening, balance and proprioception training will be added.
